After a decade of working in retail & luxury, I founded Arras in 2019 as a brand that focused on building green livelihoods and providing affordable, responsibly made clothing to the urban consumer. With my roots in Assam & Meghalaya, I always found a lack of representation of the cultural diversity and crafts of Northeast India in the rest of the country. Through Arras I collaborate with weavers to create fabrics and scarves handcrafted entirely from indigenously found cruelty-free silk.

Arras is a social-impact business collaborating with artisans across India to create apparel and accessories (scarves) from sustainable fabrics for the urban consumer. Our fabrics include Peace/ Ahimsa silk, organic cotton and kala cotton (indigenous cotton). Our scarves are made from hand-spun fabric, dyed with natural ingredients and woven by hand. We retail globally through our own website, marketplaces and stockists. We have found happy customers in Australia, USA, and UAE.
